ekadhā bahudhā caiva dṛśyate jalacandravat /
sa hi sarveṣu bhūteṣu sthāvareṣu careṣu ca //
vasatyeko mahānātmā yena sarvamidaṃ tatam // ityādi /

mohātmakamanantaṃ tadevaṃ traiguṇyamīritam /
sattvaṃ prakāśakaṃ vidyādrajo vidyāt pravarttakam //
vināśakaṃ tamo vidyāt traiguṇyaṃ nāma sañjñitam /

buddhyāhaṅkāramanasī śrotraṃ tvak cakṣuṣī tathā /
jihvā ghrāṇaṃ pādapāyūpasthamadhyātmasañjñitam //
yattu mokṣadharme ādau mana ahaṅkārāt jāyate vṛttayascatāḥ //
śabdarāgāt śrotramasya jāyate bhāvitātmanaḥ /
rūparāgāt tathā cakṣurghrāṇaṃ gandhajidhṛkṣayā //
ityādinendriyāṇāṃ manovṛttirāgādikāryatvaṃ tadvedāntarītyaiveti mantavyam | adhibhūtam |
yathākrameṇa boddhavyamabhimantavyameva ca /
saṅkalpitavyaṃ śrotavyaṃ spraṣṭavyaṃ draṣṭavyameva ca //
rasayitavyaṃ ghrātavyaṃ gantavyamutsraṣṭavyaṃ ca /
ānandayitavyamityevamadhibhūtaṃ prakīrtitam //
adhidaivataṃ ca /
brahmā rudraścandramāśca ākāśo vāyureva ca /
sūryo varuṇa indraśca viṣṇumitraṃ tathaiva ca //
anenaiva krameṇedaṃ saṃproktamadhidaivatam /
catvāri yo vedayate yathā ca-
kṣuṣā svarūpāṇyadhidaivataṃ vā /
vimuktayāthāgatadoṣasaṅgo-
guṇāṃstu bhuṅkte na guṇaiḥ sa yujyate //
pañcābhibuddhayaḥ || tats_8 ||
icchābhirbuddhirvijñeyā ābhimukhyena karmaṇaḥ /
idaṃ me kāryamityeṣo 'dhyavasāyaḥ karomyaham //
icchā vāñchā 'tha saṅkalpo manasaḥ karma ceṣyate /
evametāśca pañcābhibuddhayaḥ parikīrtitāḥ //

tanniṣṭhastatpratiṣṭhaśca dhṛteretaddhi lakṣaṇam //
anasūyā brahmacaryaṃ yajanaṃ yājanaṃ tapaḥ /
pratigrahaśca homaśca śraddhāyā lakṣaṇaṃ smṛtam //
sukhaṃ sukhārthī seveta vidyā karma tapāṃsi ca /
prāyaścittaparo nityaṃ sukheyaṃ parikīrttitā //
viṣadhūmamūrchitavad vividiṣā dhyānināṃ prajñāyoniḥ /
ekatvaṃ ca pṛthaktvaṃ ca nityaṃ vedamacetanam //
sūkṣmasatkāryasaṃkṣobhyaṃ jñeyā vividiṣā hi sā /
kāryakaraṇakṣamakarī vividiṣā prākṛtī vṛttiḥ //
dhṛtiḥ śraddhā vividiṣā sukhā ceti catuṣṭayam /
jñeyaṃ bandho vividiṣā mokṣāya parikalpitā /
karmayonisvarūpo 'yaṃ viśiṣya parikīrttitaḥ //

prāṇo 'pānaḥ samānaśca udāno vyāna eva ca /
ityete vāyavaḥ pañca śarīreṣu śarīriṇām //
mukhanāsādhicārī yaḥ prāṇanāt prāṇa ucyate /

hṛdyadhiṣṭhānanayanāt samāna iti kīrtitaḥ /
kaṇṭhādūrdhvāvagamanādudāna iti ca smṛtaḥ //
sandhyadhiṣṭhānato vyāno vikṣepaṇavijṛmbhaṇāt /

moho 'hamabhimāno yo mahāmoho daśātmakaḥ //

na vā 'styadṛṣṭistanmātrapañcakaṃ bhūtakāraṇam /
sarvamevedaṃ brahmeti brahmaiva san brahmāpyeti /

sutarā parirakṣaṇe pravṛttiḥ /
krayadoṣamapaśyato dhane pravṛttiḥ
asunetrā parikīrttyate hi sāṃkhyaiḥ //
akurmarīcikābhogaśaktirhiṃsādyapaśyataḥ /
anuttambhāmbhasikā doṣabhogādambhaḥ pravarttanam //
navadhā kathitā hyete tatra tuṣṭirviparyayāḥ /
kathyante siddhayo hyaṣṭau te 'mī siddhiviparyayāḥ //
nānātvamūhamānasya siddhamekamatārakam /
viparītagrahaḥ śabdaśravaṇādasutārakam //
nānātvajño mukta iti śrutvaikajño na muktibhāk /
atārayantamajñānāsadacchāstraniveśataḥ /
duḥkhitasyāpyanudvegādapramodā hi saṃsṛtau //
apramudaṃ tadajñānapramuditamapramodamānaṃ vā /
asamyagvacanādapyuparodhena vā gurau //
abhāgyasya na siddhiḥ syāt jñāne tat samudīritam /
snigdhasaṃsargato jñānottarājñānamaramyakam //
vyākhyātāḥ pūrvarītyāṣṭāvete siddhiviparyayāḥ /
aṣṭāviṃśatidhā 'śaktirvyākhyātobhayayogataḥ //

prakṛtau paramātmatvaṃ pratipadyaiva tuṣṭibhāk //
mādhyasthyamavalambeta ambhaḥ sā tuṣṭirucyate /
buddhau ca paramātmatve tuṣṭiḥ sā salilā smṛtā //
ahaṃkāre yadā sā syādāyācchā iti śabdhitā /
tanmātreṣu yadā sā syāt tuṣṭirdṛṣṭirnigadyate //
ādhyātmikāścatasrastu tuṣṭayaḥ prabhavanti hi /
mokṣastāsvapi nāstyeva tattvajñānādyathoditā //
arthānāmarjane duḥkhamarjitānāṃ ca rakṣaṇe /
tyāge duḥkhaṃ kṣaye duḥkhaṃ dhigarthaṃ duḥkhabhājanam // iti
doṣadarśanasantuṣṭaḥ parabrahmaiva mokṣabhāk /
suteyaṃ pañcamī tuṣṭistattvajñānādyabhāvataḥ //
rakṣaṇe sutarā ṣaṣṭhī saptamī kṣayadarśanāt /
sunetrā saṅgadoṣā cāṣṭamī kurmarīcikā //
arthe hiṃsādidoṣeṇa nivṛttiśca samaskarī /
tuṣṭistu navamī proktā hyuttamāmbhasikā tava //
aṣṭadhā siddhiḥ || tats_15 ||
jñānaṃ yaddūramutpannaṃ tārākhyā prathamā hi sā /
śabdamātreṇa bhūteṣu sutārā jñānamiṣyate //
jñānamadhyayanenaiva tārayantī tṛtīyakā /
adhyātmaduḥkhāpanayāt pramodetyabhidhīyate //
bhautikakleśaharaṇāt pramudā siddhirucyate /
ādhidaivakleśaharaṇāt jñānamutpadyate nṛṇām //
pramodamānetyākhyātā ṣaṣṭhī siddhiḥ svayaṃ satām /
snigdhasaṃsarganāśāttu ramyakā saptamī smṛtā //
pramudā cāṣṭamī siddhiḥ paricaryādinā guroḥ /
ityetāḥ siddhayo hyaṣṭau vyākhyātāḥ jñānasādhikāḥ //

pārārthyamanyatvamakartṛkatvam /
yogo viyogo bahavaḥ pumāṃsaḥ

eṣā sā daśamūlikā 'rthagaṇanā saṅghātapārārthyataḥ
siddhā sā puruṣāstitā pariṇaterbhedasya tatkāraṇam /
astyavyaktamanantamekamiti ca premāviṣādātmakaṃ
nānāpāyaparārthatā triguṇato 'nyatvasya siddhistathā //
viparyāsādakartṛtvaṃ yogaḥ puruṣadarśanāt /
prāpte śarīrabhede tu caritārthatvadarśanāt //
janmādikaraṇāntānāṃ bhedānnānā hi te smṛtāḥ /
cakrabhramivat śeṣavṛttiḥ siddhārthāḥ daśa mūlikāḥ //
saptatyā prāgupadiṣṭāḥ pañcāśat pratyayā ime /
daśaṣaṣṭipadārthaistu ṣaṣṭitantra itīryate //

brahmānugrahamasṛjadrūpatanmātrataḥ pṛthak /
utpādyānugrahadhyānāt prāktanādhāravarjanāt //

gāndharvamaindraṃ brāhmaṃ ca saumyaṃ brāhmyamathāṣṭakam //
devayonaya evaite tiryagyonistu pañcadhā /
mṛgapaśupakṣisarīsṛpasthāvaramiti bhedasambhinā //
mānuṣyakaṃ caikavidhaṃ brāhmaṇādicāṇḍālāntam /
paśavo gavādimūṣāntāḥ pakṣiṇo garūḍādikāḥ //
maśakāntā mṛgāścāpi siṃhādi ca śivāntikāḥ /
śeṣādi alagardāntāḥ sarpāḥ parvatabhūtṛṇāḥ //
sthāvarā bhautikaḥ sarga etatsaṃsāramaṇḍalam //
trividho bandhaḥ || tats_19 ||
prakṛtibandhaḥ prakṛtilayaḥ paratvenābhimanyataḥ /
saṃnyāsināmindriyeṣu layo vaikāriko 'paraḥ //
gṛhīṇāṃ dakṣiṇābandho vadānyatvābhimāninām /
ityeṣastrividho bandhastrividho mokṣa ucyate //

jñānodrekāduparateśca dharmādharmakṣayo bhavet /
dharmādharmakṣayāccātha kaivalyamiti gīyate //

āgame 'pi, svakarmabhirvinirmukto rāgadveṣavivarjitaḥ //
jñānavān śīlasampannaḥ so 'pi jñeyaśca tādṛśaḥ //

duḥkhaṃ tu trividhaṃ proktamadhyātmamadhibhūtakam /
ādhidaivaṃ ca tatrāpi prathamaṃ dvividhaṃ smṛtam //
śārīraṃ mānasaṃ ceti vātakāmādidoṣajam /
bhūtebhyo mānuṣādibhyo jātaṃ syādādhibhautikam //
devebhyaḥ śītavātādibhavaṃ syādādhidaivikam /
etat samāsataḥ proktā sūtravyākhyā yathāmati //
prakriyāṃ ca pravakṣyāmi paurāṇikahitāya vai //

puruṣastu na kāryaṃ na vā kāraṇam |
taduktam mūlaprakṛtirityādi |
mahān ahaṃkāraḥ pañca tanmātrāṇi sapta prakṛtivikṛtayaḥ |
pradhānād buddhirjāyata iti pradhānavikāraḥ saivāhaṅkāraṃ janayatīti prakṛtiḥ ahaṅkāro 'pi buddherjāyata iti vikṛtiḥ so 'pi ekādaśendriyāṇi pañca tanmātrāṇi janayatīti prakṛtiḥ ||
tatra śabdatanamātramahaṃkārājjāyata iti vikṛtistasmādākāśaṃ jāyata iti śabdatanmātraṃ prakṛtiḥ |
tathā sparśatanmātramahaṃkārājjāyata iti vikṛtiḥ tadeva vāyuṃ janayatīti prakṛtiḥ |
evaṃ rūpatanmātramahaṃkārājjāyata iti vikṛtiḥ tadeva tejo janayatīti prakṛtiḥ |
rasatanmātramahaṅkārājjāyata iti vikṛtistadevāmbho janayatīti prakṛtiḥ |
tathā gandhatanmātramahaṃkārājjāyata iti vikṛtiḥ tadevāvaniṃ janayatīti prakṛtiḥ ||
etāni pañca tanmātrāṇi sūkṣmabhūtāni sthūlabhūtānāṃ kāraṇāni ṣoḍaśakaśca vikāraḥ |
pañca buddhīndriyāṇi pañca karmendriyāṇi ekādaśaṃ manaḥ pañca mahābhūtāni eṣa ṣoḍaśako gaṇo vikāra eva na prakṛtiḥ |
puruṣastu nobhayamityarthaḥ ||
pratyakṣānumānaśabdarūpaṃ trividhaṃ pramāṇam | tatra pratyakṣaṃ tāvat śrotrādipañcakaṃ lokocitaśabdādiguṇagrāhakam |
anumānaṃ cāpratyakṣārthagrāhakaṃ dhūmādi |
śabdastāvat trividho bhavati vāgindriyaviṣayaḥ śrotraviṣayo buddhimātraviṣayaśca |
teṣu kaṇṭhatālvādisthalāvacchinnaḥ śabdo vāgīndriyaviṣayaḥ tatkāryatvāt vāgindriyavyavahitaśrotrasthaśca śabdataḥ śabdaḥ śrotrasya viṣayastadgrāhyatvāt |
ghaṭa ityādipadāni tu buddhimātrasya viṣayaḥ vakṣyamāṇayuktyā buddhimātragrāhyatvāt ||
tāni padānyevārthasya karaṇatvāt sphoṭa ityucyate | taddi padaṃ vāgindriyoccāryapratyekavarṇebhyo 'tiriktaṃ varṇānāmāśutaravināśitayā melanābhāvenaikaṃ padamiti vyavahāragocaratvāsambhavāt arthasmārakatvāsambhavācca | asya ca sphoṭasya kāraṇamekaḥ prayatnaviśeṣaḥ prayatnabhedenoccāraṇe sati ekapadavyavahārābhāvādarthāpratyayācca tasya ca sphoṭasya vyañjaka ānupūrvīviśiṣṭatayā antyavarṇapratyayaḥ ataśca buddhereva sphoṭagrāhakatvam ānupūrvyā buddhyaiva grahaṇasambhavena sāmānādhikaraṇyapratyāsattyaivānupūrvīpratyayasya sphoṭākhyapadābhivyaktihetutve lāghavāt | ata eva sphoṭaḥ śrotreṇa grahītuṃ na śakyate ghottaraṭatvādirarūpiṇyā ānupūrvyāḥ śrotreṇa grahaṇāsambhavāt āśutaravināśitayā varṇānāṃ melanāsambhavāt pūrvapūrvavarṇasaṃskārāṇāṃ tatsmṛtīnāṃ cāntaḥkaraṇaniṣṭhānāmantaḥkaraṇasahakāritvasyaivaucityāditi |
syādetat sphoṭavyañjakasyānupūrvīviśiṣṭacaramavarṇasyaiva padatvamarthapratyāyakatvaṃ vā 'stu alaṃ sphoṭena taddhetoreva tadastviti nyāyāt |
etadeva sāṃkhyasūtreṇoktaṃ pratītyapratītibhyāṃ na sphoṭātmakaḥ śabda iti |
ekatvapratyayo 'pyānupūrvīviśiṣṭacaramavarṇasyaikatvenopapadyate ||
atrocyate |
evaṃ satyavayavyucchedaprasaṅgaḥ |
asamavāyikāraṇasaṃyogaviśeṣāvacchinnānāmavayavānāmeva jalādyāharaṇahetutvakalpanāyāṃ lāghavāt taddhetoreva tadastviti nyāyasāmyāt eko ghaṭa ityādipratyayānāmapyekaṃ vanamityādipratyayavadupapatteḥ |
atha paramāṇūnāṃ tatsaṃyogānāṃ cātīndriyatayā tadrūpatve 'vayavinaḥ pratyakṣānupapattirityādikamavayavisādhakamiti cet tulyaṃ sphoṭe 'pi ānupūrvyāḥ kṣaṇādyatīndriyaghaṭitatayā ānupūrvīviśiṣṭacaramavarṇātmakatve padasya pratyakṣānupapattirityādikaṃ sphoṭasādhakamiti |
api ca sphoṭaśabdo 'smābhiḥ śrutipramāṇenaiva svargādivat kalpyate ityatastatra laukikapramāṇābhāve 'pi na kṣatiḥ ||
tathāhi praṇavasyākārokāramakārarūpamātrātrayaṃ brahmādidevatātrayātmakamuktvā praṇavaṃ devatātrayātiriktaparabrahmātmakaṃ caturthamātrāṃ śrutaya āmananti |
sā caturthī mātrā varṇatrayādatiriktaḥ sphoṭa eva sambhavati saiva cārddhamātretyucyate rāśivadavibhaktayorvarṇapadayorvarṇā ekamarddhaṃ padaṃ cānyadarddhamityupapadyate |
yathā cāvayavebhyo vivicyāvayavī na vyavahāryo bhavati evameva pratyekavarṇebhyo vivicya padamuccārayituṃ na śakyata iti |
ataḥ smaryate "arddhamātrā sthitā nityā yānuccāryā viśeṣata" iti ||
nanu syādevamarddhamātropapattiḥ |
nādabindostu kiṃ svarūpam ucyate |
praṇave uccāryamāṇe śaṅkhanādaveṇunādādivadyaḥ svaraviśeṣo bhavati sa nādaḥ yā ca nādasyoparamāvasthā atisūkṣmā sā śūnyatulyatayā bindurucyata iti |
tasmādavayavebhyo 'vayavīva varṇebhyo 'tiriktaṃ padaṃ tadeva sphoṭa iti siddham |
nanvevaṃ vākyamapi sphoṭaḥ syāditi cenna bādhakābhāve satīṣyatāmiti dik ||
śabdastāvat yathodeṣṭṛpuruṣavākyalakṣaṇaḥ indro devarāḍityādiḥ | arthāpattisambhavābhāvaitihyapratibhopamānāni yadi pramāṇāni tarhyatraivāntarbhāvyāni na pṛthak | prakṛtipuruṣau vidyamānāvapi nopalabhyete sūkṣmatvāt yathākāśe dhūmoṣmanīhāraparamāṇavaḥ santo 'pi nopalabhyante | mahadādikāryadarśanena tatkāraṇamiva pradhānamanumīyate | triguṇapradhānajanyaṃ mahadādikāryaṃ kiñcitprakṛtisadṛśaṃ kiñcidvikṛtisadṛśaṃ loke ubhayathā puttrarūpakāryadarśanāt | tacca kāryaṃ sat nāsat na sadasat nānirvacanīyam atyantāsattve sikatābhyo 'pi tailamutpadyeta | anyau ca pakṣau viruddhāveva avyaktasañjñaṃ pradhānaṃ svatantraṃ vyāpi nityaṃ ca vyaktasañjñaṃ kāryamasvatantramavyāpi anityaṃ ca | puruṣaḥ svatantro vyāpī nityaśca | trayāṇāṃ lokānāṃ kāraṇaṃ pradhānaṃ taccaikaṃ lāghavāt | pralayakāle mahadādikāryaṃ pradhāne līyate | tacca pradhānaṃ sattvarajastamomayam | guṇatrayasāmyāvasthā prakṛtiḥ | pradhānamacetanaṃ puruṣastu cetanaḥ | vyaktapradhānavilakṣaṇaḥ śuddho guṇarahitaḥ | kāryasya sukhaduḥkhamohajanakatvena tatra kāraṇībhūtāni sattvarajastamāṃsi anumeyāni |
dṛṣṭaṃ ca yathākramaṃ bhartṛsapatnīviṭeṣu sukhaduḥkhamohajanakatvaṃ kāminyāḥ |
triguṇamaye 'pi kārye yadā sattvamudriktaṃ bhavati janādṛṣṭāt tadā rajastamasī abhibhūya svakāryaṃ sukhaṃ janayati |
evaṃ yadā raja udriktaṃ bhavati tadā sattvatamasī abhibhūya svakāryaṃ janayati duḥkham |
evaṃ yadā tama udriktaṃ bhavati tadā sattvarajasī abhibhūya svakāryaṃ mohaṃ janayati ||
duḥkhaṃ trividham ādhyātmikādhibhautikādhidaivikabhedāt | tathāhi tatra ādhyātmikaṃ dvirūpaṃ śārīraṃ mānasaṃ ceti | śārīraṃ tāvat vātapittaśleṣmaviparyayakṛtaṃ jvarātīsārādi | mānasaṃ tu priyaviyogāpriyasaṃyogādijam | ādhibhautikaṃ tu caturddhābhūtagrāmanimittaṃ paśupakṣimṛgamanuṣyasarīsṛpadaṃśayūkāmatkuṇasthāvarebhyo jarāyujāṇḍajasvedajodbhijjebhyo jāyate | divaḥ prabhavati taddaivaṃ tadadhikṛtya yajjāyate tadādhidaivikaṃ śītoṣṇavātavarṣāśanipātajam | samuditatantavaḥ paṭamiva guṇasamudāyātmakaṃ pradhānam mahadādikāryaṃ janayati | ekarasamapi yathā ākāśasalilaṃ vāpyādau patitaṃ sat vāpyādisaṃśleṣāt rasāntaramāpadyate tathā ekarūpādapi pradhānāddevādayaḥ krameṇa sukhino duḥkhino atyantamūḍhāśca bhavanti | tathā sattvautkaṭyādrajastamasoraudāsīnyāddevāḥ atyantaṃ sukhinaḥ | rajasa autkaṭyāt sattvatamasoraudāsīnyānmanuṣyāḥ atyantaṃ duḥkhinaḥ | tamasa autkaṭyāt sattvarajasoraudāsīnyāttiryañcaḥ atyantaṃ mūḍhāḥ | mahadādisaṅghātaḥ bhoktṛsāpekṣaḥ bhogyatvāt paryaṅkavat | mahadādisaṅghaḥ parādhīnaḥ acetanatvāt mālāvat | evaṃ puruṣo 'numīyate | sa ca nānā janmamaraṇakaraṇānāṃ pratyekaṃ bhedāt | ayamarthaḥ | ekasya maraṇe sarve mriyeran yadyeka eva ātmā syāt ekasya ca janmani sarve jāyeran ekasya karaṇavaikalye sarve karaṇavaikalyavantaḥ syuḥ | na caivaṃ dṛśyate tasmānnānā | pañcaviṃśatitattvagocarasamyagjñānāt puruṣasya kaivalyaṃ bhavati | taccānyatvaṃ pradhānādibheda iti yāvat |
avivekāt saṃsāraḥ vivekāt kaivalyam |
arthataḥ akhyātivādāṅgīkāraḥ |
ata eva idaṃ rajatamiti jñānaṃ na bhramaḥ kiṃtu svarūpataḥ arthataśca aviviktaṃ jñānadvayam |
yasya yādṛśamidaṃ rajatamiti rajatajñānaviṣayībhūtaṃ tasya tādṛśameva jagaditi nirṇayaḥ ||
ata eva vastutastāttviko 'nyathābhāvaḥ pariṇāma ityeva lakṣaṇalakṣitaḥ pariṇāmo 'ṅgākṛtaḥ sa ca puruṣaḥ pratiśarīraṃ nānetyatrādi sma avikāritvāt | vastuto 'karttā muktavat sākṣivadudāsīnaḥ | sattvarajastamāṃsi kartḥṇi karmāṇyapi bhavanti | akarttā 'pi puruṣaḥ kartteva vyavahriyate | acoraścoraiḥ saha dhṛtaścora eva | guṇābhedāt prakṛtiḥ kartrī na puruṣaḥ | darśanaśaktimataḥ kriyāśaktirahitasya puruṣasya pradhānena saha saṃyogaḥ mahadādibhūtaparyantaṃ pradhānaṃ draṣṭum | darśanaśaktirahitasya kriyāśaktimataḥ pradhānasyāpi puruṣeṇa saṃyogaḥ mokṣārthaṃ puruṣasya bhinnatvena vyaktāvyaktapuruṣajñāne jāte pradhānasya mokṣo bhavati | nityasukhopalabdhirmokṣa iti cedupalabdherapi nityānityavivekagrastatvādasāram | na ca nityasukhagocarasyāvidyādiyatkiñcidāvaraṇabhaṅga eva puruṣārtho vācyaḥ sukhānubhavasyaiva puruṣārthatvāccaitanyanityatvenāvaraṇasyāpi asambhavācca | mokṣe paramānandaśrutismṛtayastu mokṣaśāstraparibhāṣāmātrā |
duḥkhamevāsti na sukhaṃ yasmāt tadupalabhyate /
duḥkhārttasya pratīkāre sukhasañjñā vidhīyate //
duḥkhaṃ kāmasukhāpekṣā sukhaṃ duḥkhātyayaḥ smṛtaḥ //
ityādismṛtibhirduḥkhanivṛttireva sukhatvena paribhāṣitā | sāṃkhyasūtramapi duḥkhanivṛttirgauṇa iti vimuktipraśaṃsā mandānāmiti ca | ānandāvāptistu gauṇamokṣo brahmaloke bhavati iti paścāt kṛtārthayoḥ pradhānapuruṣayorviyogo bhavati andhapaṅgusaṃyogavat | tathāhi ekaḥ paṅguraparaścāndhaḥ dvāvapyetau duṣṭe pathi gacchantau mahatā sārthena saha daivādbandhubhiḥ parityaktau yathāyogaṃ gamanaśaktidarśanaśaktirahitau darśanārthaṃ gamanārthaṃ ca saṃyuktau bhavataḥ | tathā cāndhena paṅguḥ skandhamāropitastaddarśitamārgeṇāndho yāti paṅguścāndhaskandhārūḍhaḥ san yāti | paścāt svasvadeśaprāptyanantaraṃ kṛtārthau santau viyuktau bhavataḥ | tathā ca pradhānaṃ puruṣasya mokṣaṃ kṛtvā nivarttate | puruṣo na pravarttate nāpi nivarttate | draṣṭā bhoktā ca puruṣaḥ | bhogaścidavasānatā lakṣaṇaḥ | na kriyāveśātmā sa ca puruṣaḥ anādyavivekāt saṃsarati | sacchāstraśravaṇena gurvanugraheṇa ca nirvicikitso vivekajñāne jāte mucyate | prakṛtipuruṣasaṃyogāt saṃsāraḥ sañjāyate | strīpuruṣasaṃyogādapatyamiva prakṛtermahattatvaṃ jāyate | mahattatvādahaṅkāro jāyate | sa ca trividhaḥ vaikāriko bhūtādistaijasaśca | yo hi vaikarikaḥ sa eva sāttvikaḥ yo bhūtādiḥ sa eva tāmasaḥ | yo hi taijasaḥ sa eva rājasaḥ tatra vaikārikādahaṅkārādekādaśendriyāṇi tadabhimāninyo devatāśca jāyante | bhūtādeścāhaṃkārāt tanmātrāṇi jāyante taijasādahaṃkārādekādaśendriyagaṇastanmātrapañcakaṃ ca jāyate | etadgaṇadvayasya yathāsaṃkhyaṃ vaikārikādbhūtādeścāhaṃkārājjātatvāt kathaṃ punarutpattirucyata iti cecchṛṇu |
yadā rajastamasī abhibhūya sattvaguṇa utkaṭo vaikarikasañjñāṃ labhamāno 'haṃkāro 'pravṛttidharmā taijasāhaṃkāraṃ sahāyīkṛtya pravṛttidharmāṇyekādaśendriyāṇi janayati tadā tāni svasāhāyyacchalamadhigamya taijasasvarūpeṇāpi kṛtānītyucyate |
yadā ca sattvarajasī abhibhūya tamoguṇotkaṭo bhūtādistaijasāhaṃkārasya rūpaṃ sahāyīkṛtya tanmātrapañcakaṃ pravṛttidharmakaṃ karoti tadā tattanmātrapañcakaṃ svasāhāyyenaiva taijasenāpi kṛtamityucyate tasmāt pravṛttidharmakāt tattanmātrapañcakād bhūtapañcakamutpadyate |

ayamarthaḥ | vaikārikasya bhūtādeśca svasvapravṛttidharmakakāryadvayasya yathāsaṃkhyaṃ janane taijasāhaṃkārasya sāhāyyam | taijasāhaṃkārasya sāhāyyakaraṇādeva etadgaṇadvayalakṣaṇakakāryasya pravṛttidharmakatvam | buddhijanakānīndriyāṇi buddhīndriyāṇi tāni cakṣuḥśrotraghrāṇarasanatvagindriyāṇi | teṣāṃ ca viṣayāḥ rūpaśabdagandharasasparśāḥ | karma kurvantīti karmendriyāṇi tāni ca vākpāṇipādapāyūpasthāni | teṣāṃ ca viṣayāḥ vāgvadanādānagamanotsargānandāḥ | mano buddhīndriyaṃ karmendriyaṃ ca yato buddhīndriyāṇāṃ vṛttiṃ saṃkalpayati karmendriyāṇāṃ ca ata ubhayātmakaṃ manaḥ | mano 'pi vibhu dharmādharmavāsanāśrayataḥ pratipuruṣamantaḥkaraṇaṃ nityamākāśavat | na ca prakṛtidharmā eva santvadṛṣṭādaya iti vācyam anyaniṣṭhādṛṣṭādibhiranyatra sukhaduḥkhādyutpāde 'tiprasaṅgāt | tacca nāṇu saṃbhavati yogināṃ sarvāvacchedena ekadā 'khilasākṣātkārāsambhavāt | na ca yogināṃ yogajadharma eva pratyāsattiḥ syāt saṃyogasaṃyuktasamavāyādilaukikapratyāsattyaivopapattau sannikarṣāntarakalpane mānābhāvāt gauravācca anyonyavyabhicārācca | sākṣātkāreṣvavāntarajātikalpane jātisāṅkaryāt atigauravācca | yogimate sarvārthagrahaṇasamarthasyāntaḥkaraṇasya tamaākhyāvaraṇabhaṅga eva yogajadharmādibhiḥ kriyate suṣuptau tamaso vṛttipratibandhakatvasiddheriti nāpyantaḥkaraṇaṃ madhyamaparimāṇamātraṃ sambhavati pralaye vināśenādṛṣṭādyādhāratānupapatteḥ ataḥ pariśeṣato 'ntaḥkaraṇaṃ vibhveva sidyati taduktam |
cittākāśaṃ cidākāśamākāśaṃ ca tṛtīyakam /
dvābhyāṃ śūnyatamaṃ viddhi cidākāśaṃ varānane //

tadgatiśruteriti veti kiṃ caivaṃ sati lāghavāt caitanyasyaivāvaraṇakalpanamucitaṃ kimarthaṃ vibhvantaḥkaraṇaṃ parikalpyate tatra jñānapratibandhakamāvaraṇaṃ kalpyate ||
atrocyate | gatiśrutistāvat ātmanīvāntaḥkaraṇe 'pi prāṇendriyādyupādhinopapadyate kāryakāraṇarūpeṇāntaḥkaraṇadvaitāt | kāryāntaḥkaraṇasya svato 'pi gatirupapadyate kāryakāraṇarūpeṇāntaḥkaraṇadvaitaṃ ca sāṃkhyairapyeṣṭavyam kevalakāryatve 'ntaḥkaraṇadharmatvaṃ dharmādīnāmiti sāṃkhyasūtrānupapatteḥ | kevalanityatve ca mahadādyutpattisūtrānupapatteḥ yattūktaṃ caitanyasyaivāvaraṇakalpanaṃ yuktamiti tadayuktam | kūṭasthacaitanyasya jñānapratibandharūpāvaraṇāsambhavāt | na ca caitanyasyārthasambandha eva pratibimbādirūpe pratibandhakaṃ kalpanīyamiti vācyam evamapyātmadarśanānupapatteḥ karaṇadvāraṃ vinā svasmin pratibimbādirūpeṇa svasvasambandhāsambhavāt | api ca icchākṛtyādyādhāratayā 'ntaḥkaraṇe siddhe svapnādāvantardṛśyamānaghaṭādayo 'pi tasyaiva pariṇāmāḥ kalpyante kāryakāraṇayoḥ sāmānādhikaraṇyaucityāt | evaṃ ca ghaṭādyākārapariṇatāścaitanye bhāsante tadavibhāgenaiva bāhyaghaṭādikaṃ bhāsate 'tastādṛśapariṇāmapratibandhakamevāvaraṇaṃ tatraiva yuktaṃ kiñca bāhyakaraṇasyāvaraṇadarśanenāntarāvaraṇasyāpi karaṇaniṣṭhatvaṃ cānumīyate ātmano 'nāvṛtatvaṃ śrutismṛtibhyāṃ ceti |
nanvantaḥkaraṇasya vibhutve sati kathaṃ kāryatvaṃ syāditi cenna vibhvyā api ākaśaprakṛteḥ kāryākāśarūpaparicchinnapariṇāmavad guṇāntarasambhedenāntaḥkaraṇaprakṛterapi paricchinnāntaḥkaraṇarūpapariṇāmopapattiḥ śrutismṛtiprāmāṇyāccaitadiṣyata iti dik ||
manasaḥ saṅkalpo viṣayaḥ | etānyekādaśa vaikṛtāhaṃkārājjātāni ityavādi smaiva buddhipratibimbitamarthaṃ puruṣa upalabhate |
taduktaṃ buddhisthamarthaṃ puruṣaścetayate |
ahaṃ dharmaṃ kariṣyāmītyadhyavasāyo buddherlakṣaṇam |
dharmo jñānaṃ virāgaḥ aiśvaryametat sāttvikabuddheḥ |
tadviparītamavirāgādi tāmasam ||
pañcaviṃśatitattvaireva jagadvyāptaṃ na nyūnairnādhikaiśca vatsavivṛddhinimittaṃ kṣīrasyeva ajñasyāpi pradhānasya puruṣamokṣārthaṃ pravṛttirucitaiva |
liṅgaśarīraṃ tu buddhyahaṃkāramanobuddhīndriyakarmendriyapañcatanmātrāṇāmaṣṭādaśānāṃ samudāyaḥ trayoviṃśatitattvamadhye pañcabhūtāni varjayitvā ahaṃkāraṃ ca buddhau praveśya saptadaśakaṃ liṅgaśarīrasañjñaṃ bhavati vahnerindhanavadātmano 'bhivyaktisthānavāt |
tacca sarvapuruṣāṇāṃ sargādāvutpadya prākṛtapralayaparyantaṃ tiṣṭhati tena caiveha lokaparalokayoḥ saṃsaraṇaṃ jīvānāṃ bhavati |
prāṇaśca buddhereva vṛttibheda ityato na liṅgaśarīrāt pṛthaṅ nirdiśyate tasya ca liṅgaśarīrasya sūkṣmāṇi pañca bhūtāni āśrayaścitrādivadāśrayaṃ vinā paramasūkṣmasya lokāntaragamanāsambhavāt ||
idaṃ ca liṅgaśarīramādau svayaṃbhuva upādhibhūtamekameva jāyate tasyaiva virāḍākhyavakṣyamāṇasthūlaśarīravat tataśca vyaṣṭijīvānāmupādhibhūtāni vyaṣṭiliṅgaśarīrāṇi tadaṃśabhūtāni tato vibhajyante | piturliṅgaśarīrāt puttraliṅgaśarīravat | taduktaṃ sūtrakāreṇa | vyaktibhedaḥ karmaviśeṣāditi manunāpyuktam |
teṣāṃ tvavayavān sūkṣmān ṣaṇṇāmapyamitaujasām / sanniveśyātmamātrāsu sarvabhūtāni nirmame // iti /
ṣaṇṇāmiti ṣaḍindriyaṃ samastaliṅgaśarīropalakṣakam tathā ca svayambhūḥ svaliṅgaśarīrāvayavān sūkṣmānalpān ātmamātrāsu svāṃśacetaneṣu saṃyojya sarvaprāṇinaḥ sasarjjetyartha iti liṅgaśarīram | sthūlaśarīrotpattistu daśaguṇitamahattattvamadhye 'haṃkārastasyāpi daśaguṇitasya madhye vyomno 'pi daśaguṇitasya madhye vāyurvāyorapi daśaguṇitasya madhye tejastejaso 'pi daśaguṇitasya madhye jalaṃ jalasyāpi daśaguṇitasya madhye pṛthivī samutpadyate saiva ca sthūlaśarīrasya bījaṃ tadeva ca pṛthivīrūpaṃ bījamaṇḍarūpeṇa pariṇamate tasyāpi daśaguṇitāṇḍarūpasya pṛthivyāvaraṇasya madhye caturdaśabhuvanātmakaṃ svayambhuvaḥ sthūlaśarīraṃ tatsaṃkalpādevotpadyate tenaiva śarīreṇa svayambhūrnārāyaṇa ityucyate | taduktaṃ manunā svayambhuvaṃ prakṛtya |
so 'bhidhyāya śarīrāt svāt sisṛkṣurvividhāḥ prajāḥ /
apa eva sasarjādau tāsu vīryamavāsṛjat //
tadaṇḍamabhavaddhaimaṃ sahasrāṃśusamaprabham /
tasmin yajñe svayaṃ brahmā sarvalokapitāmahaḥ //
sa vai śarīrī prathamaḥ sa vai puruṣa ucyate /
ādikarttā sa bhūtānāṃ brahmāgre samavarttata //
āpo nārā iti proktā āpo vai narasūnavaḥ / tā yadasyāyanaṃ pūrvaṃ tena nārāyaṇaḥ smṛtaḥ // ityādineti /
tata eva cādipuruṣāt vyaṣṭipuruṣāṇāṃ vibhāgādante ca tatraiva layāt sa eva caika ātmeti śrutismṛtyorvyavahriyate ato na vyavahāraparatayā nārāyaṇa eva sarvabhūtānāmātmetyādiśrutismṛtivirodha iti | tataśca sa nārāyaṇo virāṭśarīrī svanābhikamalakarṇikāsthānīyasya sumerorupari caturmukhākhyaṃ svayaṃbhuvaṃ sṛṣṭvā taddvārānyānapi vyaṣṭiśarīriṇaḥ sthāvarāntān sasarja taduktam -
taccharīrasamutpannaiḥ kāryaistaiḥ kāraṇaiḥ saha / kṣetrajñāḥ samajāyanta gātrebhyastasya dhīmataḥ // iti /
yattu śeṣaśāyino nārāyaṇasya nābhikamalaśrotracakṣurādibhyaścaturmukhasyāvirbhāvaḥ śrūyate taddainyandinasargeṣveva kalpabhedena mantavyam |
dainandinapralayeṣveva hi nārāyaṇaśarīre praviśyaikībhūya suptānāṃ devānāṃ caturmukhādikrameṇāvirbhāvaḥ śeṣaśāyinaḥ sakāśāt ghaṭate na tvādisargeṣu dainandinapralaya eva līlāvigraheṇa śayanāditi ||
tadevaṃ saṃkṣepataścaturviṃśatitattvāni teṣāṃ sṛṣṭikṣayaṃ prayojanaṃ coktam | tatra yadyasmājjāyate tasya tadā '; 'pūraṇenaiva sthitiḥ tatastasya saṃhāro 'pi tatraiva bhavati | tathā ca bhārate |
yadyasmājjāyate tattvaṃ tacca tatra pralīyate / līyante pratilomāni jāyante cottarottaram // iti /
ete ca sṛṣṭisthitisaṃhārarūpāḥ sthūlā eva pariṇāmāścaturviṃśatitattvānāṃ kūṭasthapuruṣavivekāya pradarśitāḥ sūkṣmā apyanye pratikṣaṇapariṇāmā eteṣāṃ smaryante |
nityadāhyaṅgabhūtāni bhavanti na bhavanti ca / kālenālakṣyavegena sūkṣmatvāt tanna gṛhyate // iti /
atastu sarvaṃ jaḍavastu paramārthataḥ sarvadaivāsaducyate | tataśca tasmādvirajya ātmaiva paramārthasatyo duḥkhabhīrubhirdraṣṭavyaḥ taduktam |
avyaktabījaprabhavo buddhiskandhamayo mahān /
mahāhaṃkāraviṭapa indriyāṅkurakoṭaraḥ //
mahābhūtapraśākhaśca viśeṣapratiśākhavān /
sadāparṇaḥ sadāpuṣpaḥ śubhāśubhaphalodayaḥ //
ājīvaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ brahmavṛkṣaḥ sanātanaḥ /
etajjñātvā ca tattvena jñānena paramāsinā //
kṛtvā cākṣaratāṃ prāpya jahāti mṛtyujanmanī // iti /
taduktaṃ -
indriyāṇīndriyārthāśca nopasarpantyataḥ khalu /
hīnaśca karaṇairdehī na dehaṃ punararhati //
tasmātsarvātmakādrāgājjāyante sarvajantavaḥ // iti /
narakādau viśeṣarāgābhāve 'pi sāmānyarāgasattvādrāgasya karmasahakāritvaṃ viṣākārambhe tadeva saktaḥ saha karmaṇaiti liṅgaṃ mano yatra niṣaktamasyeti śrutāvabhimānarāgadveṣādijanyasya viṣyavāsanākhyasaṅgasāmānyasyaiva janmādiviṣākārambhe sahakāritvasiddheḥ |
yatra yatra mano dehī dhārayet sakalaṃ dhiyā / snehād dveṣād guṇādvāpi yāti tattatsarūpatām // iti smṛteḥ /
so 'yaṃ pratinivṛttākṣo gurudarpaṇabodhitaḥ /
svato 'nyāṃ vikriyāṃ mauḍhyādasthitāmañjasaikṣata //
athāsau prakṛtirnāhamiyaṃ hi kaluṣātmikā /
śuddhabuddhasvabhāvo 'hamiti tyajati tāṃ vidan //
evaṃ dehendriyādibhyaḥ śuddhatvenātmani smṛte /
nikhilā savikāreyaṃ tyak taprāyā hi carmavat //
nanvanātmanyātmabuddhirūpā yā 'vidyā tasyāḥ kathamātmaviśeṣyakavivekajñānanāśyatvaṃ prakārādibhedāditi cet na tādṛśāvidyāyā anātmaviśeṣyakavivekadvāreṇātmaviśeṣyakavivekanāśyatvāditi |
yacca yogena nirvikalpakamātmajñānaṃ jāyate |
tadvivekajñānadvāraiva mokṣakāraṇaṃ bhavati na tu sākṣāt |
avidyānivartakatvābhāvāt ahaṃ gauraḥ karttā sukhī duḥkhītyādijñānameva hyavidyā saṃsārānarthahetutayā śrutismṛtinyāyasiddhā tasyāśca nivarttikā nāhaṃ gaura ityādirūpā vivekakhyātireva bhavati samāne viṣaye grāhyābhāvatvaprakārakagrāhyābhāvajñānatvenaiva virodhāt anyathā muktinirvikalpakasyāpi idaṃ rajatamiti jñānavirodhitvāpatteḥ |
kiñca yathoktābhāvajñāne grāhyajñānavirodhitvasyāvaśyakatayā nirvikalpajñānasya bhramanivartakatvaṃ na pṛthak kalpyate gauravāt ||
api ca athāta ādeśo neti neti na hyetasmāditi netyanyat paramastītyādiśrutyā vivekopadeśāpekṣayottama upadeśo nāstītyucyate ||
kṣetrakṣetrajñayorevamantaraṃ jñānacakṣuṣā /
bhūtaprakṛtimokṣaṃ ca ye viduryānti te param //
iti gītāvākyaiśca vivekajñānasyaiva mokṣahetutvamucyate 'to vivekajñānameva sākṣādavidyānivṛttyā mokṣahetuḥ |
yogena kevalatmasākṣātkārastu yogyānupalabdhividhayopādhyādigatadharmābhāvamupādhyādibhedaṃ ca grāhayati tato 'vidyānivṛttiriti |
etena sarvabhūteṣu samatājñānam ātmanaḥ sarvātmakatvādijñānaṃ ca śrutismṛtyorgīyamānaṃ vivekajñānasyaiva śeṣabhūtaṃ sarvadarśaneṣu mantavyam |
jñānāntarāṇāṃ sākṣādabhimānānivartakatvāt brahmamīmāṃsāyāṃ tvayaṃ viśeṣo yatparamātmavivekaśeṣatvam |
sāṃkhyaśāstre tu sāmānyātmavivekaśeṣatvamiti dik ||
vivekakhyātestvavidyānāśakatvameva na tu śuktirajatavivekadarśina iva punarbhramadarśanāt pratibandhakatvaṃ dṛṣṭānte paṭalakāmādidoṣabāhulyāt punarujjīvanaṃ bhramasya | atra ca anātmanyātmābhimāne 'nādivāsanaiva doṣaḥ sarvāstikasaṃmataḥ jātamātrasyābhimāne doṣāntarānupalabdheḥ sā mithyājñānavāsanā yadā vivekakhyātiparamparājanyadṛḍhavāsanayonmūlitā tadaiva vivekasākṣātkāraniṣṭhocyate tatpūrvamavaśyaṃ vāsanāleśato mithyāṃśasya kasyāpyātmani bhānāt tasyāṃ ca vivekakhyātiniṣṭhāyāṃ jātāyāṃ na punarabhimānaḥ sambhavati vāsanākhyadoṣābhāvāditi | yadi tu buddhipuruṣayoranyonyapratibimbanādikamavivekakāraṇaṃ doṣa iṣyate tadā tu taṃ doṣaṃ bādhitvaiva vivekasākṣātkāra udita iti na tasya punarbhramahetutvaṃ phalabalena yogajadharmāsahakṛtasyaiva tasya doṣatvakalpanāsambhavāditi | yadyapi vivekapratiyogipadārthānāmāntyādviśeṣarūpeṇa vivekagraho na sambhavati tathāpi dṛśyatvapariṇāmitvādirūpaiḥ sāmānyavivekagrahasambhavāt prakṛtyādipadārthānāṃ viśiṣṭajñānābhāve 'pi sāmānyato vivekakhyātermokṣahetutvam | taduktam |
ghaṭadraṣṭā ghaṭādbhinnaḥ sarvathā na ghaṭo yathā / dehadraṣṭā tadā dehī nāhamityādirūpataḥ // iti /
ātmā vā are draṣṭavya ityatra tu na ātmano dṛśyatvaṃ vṛttivyāpyatve 'pi phalavyāpyatvarūpaṃ yattu bauddhairapi sukhaduḥkhādimattvenāpi buddhiranubhūyamānā svaprakāśatayā caitanyavyāpyā na bhavati yathā vedāntināmahamityanubhūyamāno 'pyātmā caitanyākhyaphalavyāpyo na bhavatītyucyate tanniḥpramāṇatvādupekṣyam | tatpradhānādisarge utpadyate | adharmavaśāt paśvādau dharmavaśāddevādau saṃsarati | atattvajñānādeva dharmādharmoparañjitaṃ pralayakāle pradhāne līyate | yadyapi pradhānapuruṣau vibhū tathāpi prakṛtireva liṅgavyavasthāṃ karoti | liṅgaṃ sūkṣmaiḥ paramāṇubhistanmātrairupacitaṃ mānuṣādiṣu vyavatiṣṭhate naṭavat yathā naṭaḥ svarūpeṇa eko 'pi veṣāntareṇa nānārūpaḥ tathā liṅgamudarāntaḥ praviśya hastī strī pumāniti bhavati pañcaviparyayasaṃjñā bhavati yathā tamo moho mahāmohastāmiśro 'ndhatāmiśra iti | dharmeṇa prājāpatyādyūrdhvalokaprāptiḥ | adharmeṇa paśvādiprāptirajñānena bandhaḥ pañcaviṃśatitattvajñānenāpavargaḥ | tacca tattvajñānaṃ guroḥ sakāśāt śāstraśravaṇenaitādṛśaṃ jāyate | tathāhi pradhānādanyaḥ puruṣaḥ anyā buddhiḥ anyo 'haṃkāraḥ anyāni tanmātrāṇi indriyāṇi pañcamahābhūtāni ceti | sarvaṃ kāryaṃ triguṇātmakamapi udriktaguṇāpekṣayā sāttvikādiśabdavyapadeśabhāk cetanaḥ puruṣaḥ nānāyoniṣu jarāmaraṇakṛtaṃ duḥkhaṃ cetayate prāpnotītyarthaḥ | yāvat tattvajñānena liṅgaśarīraṃ na nivarttate tāvat sthūlaṃ śarīraṃ pratijanma nūtanaṃ jāyate naśyati ca | svaprayojanābhāve 'pi pratyupakāranirapekṣaṃ sumitravat pradhānaṃ mahadādiviṣayabhūtaparyantaṃ kāryaṃ puruṣasya bhogāya mokṣāya cārabhate prakṛtiḥ puruṣasya bhedena buddhyahaṃkārādi darśayitvā nivarttate | yathā narttakī śṛṅgārādirasairhāsyādibhāvaiśca nibaddhagītādīni raṅgasya darśayitvā nivarttate kṛtārthatvāt tadvat | kiñca prakṛtirguṇavatī aguṇasya puṃsaḥ jagadyonibhāvena sukhaduḥkhamohātmakena śabdādiviṣayabhāvena vetyevaṃvidhairupakārairanupakāriṇaḥ puruṣasyopakurvatī paścādātmānaṃ prakāśya ahamanyā tvamanya iti nivartate sumitravat ātmanaḥ pratyupakāraṃ necchati |
sargasya neśvaraḥ kāraṇaṃ na svabhāvo na kālaḥ kālo 'pi yogināṃ kṣaṇarūpa eva na tu nyāyavaiśeṣikayorivātmavadakhaṇḍo nitya eko lāghavāt sa eva tattadupādyavacchinnaḥ san kṣaṇamuhūrtādivatsarāntaṃ vyavahāraṃ karotīti |
na tu kṣaṇanāmā pṛthak padārtho 'stīti ||
sāṃkhyaistu dikkālāvākāśādibhya iti sūtritaṃ mahākālo vā kṣaṇādirvā pṛthak padārtho nāsti kintvākāśamevopādhibhirviśiṣṭaṃ kṣaṇādimahākālāntavyavahāraṃ kurute iti manyate |
tadetanmatadvayamapyasamañjasamityāha yogī sthireṇa kenāpyupādhinā mahākālākāśābhyāṃ kṣaṇavyavahārasyāsambhavāt |
tathāhi uttaradeśasaṃyogāvacchinnā paramāṇvādikriyā anyadvā etādṛśaṃ kiñcinmahākālākāśayoḥ kṣaṇarūpatāyāmupādhiḥ parairiṣyate tatra uktaṃ saṃyogaviśiṣṭakriyādikaṃ cet viśeṣyaviśeṣaṇatatsambandhamātraṃ tarhi trayāṇāmaparaiḥ sthiratvābhyupagamāt na taiḥ kṣaṇavyavahāraḥ sambhavati yadi ca tattebhyo 'tiriktamiṣyate na tu tanmahākāla ākāśaṃ vā tenaiva kṣaṇavyavahāropapattau tadavacchinnasyānyasya kṣaṇavyavahārahetutvakalpanāvaiyarthyāt sa ca viśiṣṭādirāsthiraḥ kṣaṇaḥ prakṛterevātibhaṅguraḥ pariṇāmaviśeṣa ityato na prakṛtipuruṣātiriktatvāpattiḥ |
tasyaiva kṣaṇasya pracayaviśeṣairmuhūrtāhorātrādirdviparārddhāntavyavahāro bhavati natvakhaṇḍo mahākālo 'sti pramāṇābhāvāt adyatyādivyavahāraḥ kṣaṇapracayenaiva kālanityatvaśrutismṛtayastu pravāhanityatāparā iti tasmādāvaśyakatvāt kṣaṇātmaka eva kālo nākhaṇḍo mahākālo 'sti nāpyākāśaṃ kālavyavahāraheturiti kiṃ tu pradhānam |
puruṣo na badhyate na mucyate nāpi saṃsaratīti kiṃ tu nānāśrayā prakṛtireva tatheti sarvaṃ samañjasam ||
iti kānyakubjaśrīṣimānandadīkṣitaviracitaṃ sāṃkhyatattvavivecanaṃ samāptam ||
